We are pleased to confirm that we are now operating independently under a new name Coastline Martial Arts. This change reflects our commitment to strong governance, transparent safeguarding practices, and a modern, student‑focused approach.

​While we previously operated under the SAMA organisation, we have now separated due to differences in direction relating to safeguarding and organisational management. This decision was made thoughtfully and proactively to ensure our students, families, volunteers, and instructors receive the highest standard of care and professionalism.

​Our teaching team, training methods, and class structure remain exactly the same — with enhanced safeguarding processes and clearer accountability. We continue to deliver high‑quality martial arts instruction rooted in safety, respect, and personal development.

About Coastline Martial Arts

Coastline Martial Arts (Formerly SAMA South Coast, under the SAMA Organisation Umbrella), was established in 2026. 

Coastline Martial Arts is a Karate and Kickboxing Martial Arts club, specialising in after-school, kids and family classes. 

Coastline Martial Arts was established in 2026 and is headed by Yondan Kane Standing. He has over 25 years karate and kickboxing experience and 15 years of teaching experience! Yondan Kane has also competed in semi-professional K1 and Kickboxing, and coaches a small team to compete in K1 Kickboxing - he has more than enough experience under his belt!

We have a team of 7 Instructors, 17 assistant helpers, and over 500 students. 

Our senior leadership team has additional training in SEND, SENCO, Safeguarding and Paedogogy to ensure the best offering to our students.
